Fishing A holiday in the Narooma area is about catching fish. Perhaps fishing in one of the many lakes, from jetties, or from the rocky headlands. Or take a charter boat to Montague Island and beyond and catch kingfish, trevally or schnapper.
Tilba A holiday in the Narooma area must include a trip to the National Trust village of Central Tilba. Here there are cafes, craft shops and a cheese factory.
Nearby at Tilba Tilba is Foxglove Spire Garden, which was featured on Burke's Backyard and claimed to be one of the best gardens in Australia.
Walks A stroll along the Mill Bay Boardwalk around Wagonga Inlet is a must. There is a short walk around Mummuga Lake, rainforest walks, or you can climb Mount Dromedary.
Visit Montague Island Take a trip to Montague Island and watch the fairy penguins coming ashore at dusk. Between June and early October, why not go snorkelling or diving amongst several hundred seals?
Whale watching Between June and November each year, several charter boats will take you to Montague Island where you are sure to see humpback whales, and perhaps southern right whales.
Swimming The waters of Narooma are always clean and ideal for canoeing, swimming, surfing, paddling or just splashing around.
Mystery Bay This area is part of the Eurobodalla National park. It is an area of spectacular coastal scenery. There is good swimming, snorkelling, walking and fishing. The bay is an ideal spot for picnics.
The ideal holiday location The Narooma area is more than just swimming and golfing and fishing and shopping. Here you will find quiet beaches, lakes and superb views scenery you thought existed only on postcards.
